Happy Migraine Monogram Monday..
(refraining from my usual overuse of exclamation points as to not shout.)
Yesterday was a pretty busy one. DR & I ran a ridiculous number of errands.
Picked up said ridiculously expensive item he was instructed to buy for his birthday.
(see post from last Tuesday)
Got this 3 drawer chest for our hall which could not be more perfect..
(Obviously needs a lamp to complete the look but
with myself & my mother on the hunt, we're sure to locate
something perfect soon. Oh & HW says hi..)
Managed to spend $92 on batteries.. yes BATTERIES.
Ok they were rechargeable & one lithium camera battery
all very necessary with our impending arrival but still,
GEEEZ oh man.
GEEEZ oh man.
Have you SEEN that thing go on high speed?
DR compared it to a popular yet nauseating ride at the fair.)
We then went to big box baby superstore that gives me
anxiety/heebie jeebies whenever I enter,
to purchase our first of oh-so-many giant boxes of diapers & wipes.

(bring it on.)
DR then declared- if people wish to come see mister baby once he arrives,
they will be required to bring a pack of diapers.
I was/am pretty amused by this concept & am envisioning
people dropping in & "paying toll" at our front door
with Swaddlers and Little Cruisers in tow, ha.

We (aka DR with direct supervision) then installed mister baby's car seat.
Who knew that there were 1000 way's to install it & that none of them
would seem secure enough to me.
would seem secure enough to me.
I think I will call an official car seat expert person
& meet with them to be sure it's
in there correctly. (yes, I am paranoid)
OK I'm off to see what my Doc says about mister baby.
Oh yeah- as far as monograms go- I stopped by the Horchow website this AM & noticed
they've got their Ralph Lauren bed & bath event going on.
Fab prices & as any good preppy knows- you can't go wrong with Ralph anything.
Can't be phony if it's got the pony!
(pls notice that I got through that whole post with one exclamation point.) :)
Bee Good!

I love the drop by diaper toll concept! Hysterical. Think about how helpful that really would be. Maybe he is on to something!! How many weeks are you now?
ReplyDeleteThis week is 39 weeks :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend and you got lots accomplished! A diaper toll might not be a bad idea - haha! I'm sure I would be paranoid too about the car seat. You are so close, I can't believe it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting everything together. That's seriously a great sense of accomplishment. Yes, batteries will be used for everything, and you'll be amazed at how many diapers you go through, so quickly. I've got two in diapers now, size 3 and size 5...just be glad you'll only have one baby to change. :)

ReplyDeleteYay for you finding that CUTE chest for your hallway. Isn't it enough that you're 39 weeks? You make me sleepy and I have zero kids and .5 of a husband!
Wow!! You are so close. Congrats!!! And no, hubster didn't get me any VV goodies. But he is working on getting me the employee discount code! HAHA!
