'Twas the night before Christmas...
And all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.....
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon will be there.
Yeah yeah yeah, we've heard-
Mister Baby will not remember a single second
of his first Christmas.
That most certainly doesn't mean that we won't!!
DR & I are armed with blank video tape &
DR & I are armed with blank video tape &
memory cards ready to record
what is sure to be a most exciting day!
Grandy & The Colonel (my parents) are both here
from Pennsylvania for the main event but
the rest of the family is scattered about back East.
That said-
UPS & FedEx have been frequenting our house with
presents for the last several weeks as if we were
getting married or having another baby!
As a result of everyones generosity
we have run out of room under the tree....
I am sure will have lots of fun with all of
Mister Baby's new toys sometime
tomorrow afternoon...
once the excitement caused by alllll of the
fabulous, crinkly, crunchy wrapping & tissue paper
has died down!
In anticipation of the visit from the big man in red,
one little guy is already nestled snug in his bed
with visions of sugar plums
dancing in his head.....
Merry Christmas to all,
& to all a good night!
Bee good!

Sassy Santa & a super sale!
We took Mister Baby to see Santa
for the first time last weekend.
Everyone's heard stories or even witnessed
children freaking out at Santa.
Crying hysterically & writhing to break free
from his white gloved grasp.
While there was some of that going on,
none of it was coming from Mister Baby.
(I hear next year could be bad...)
Santa seemed to be super into it-
getting on the floor to sit with groups of kids,
letting kids sit in his chair,
posing with the whole fam instead of just "Junior".
When it gets to be our turn,
Mister Baby happily perched on his knee,
the flash bulbs start going off,
we got tons of smiles!
YAY the picture is going to be
YAY the picture is going to be
SOOO CUTE!!
When DR hands me the photo,
complete with festive candy border
I was a little shocked to see
THIS:
(you may need to zoom in....)
Please take note of Santas expression!!
I mean seriously!
it's like he's thinking-
It's definitely hilarious but
unfortunate that Santa looks
so....
irritated.
This Santa event was at Vineyard Vines.
(I was very glad to avoid the local mall scene of

kids dolled up in tartan and black velvet
at 10 AM.)
DR was a big fan of the donuts...
DR was a big fan of the donuts...
I was most impressed with the pink VV whale donuts!
super cute with donut all over their faces too.
SPEAKING of Bella Bliss!
They're having a great sale now

on all of their scarves, mittens & hats.
The appliqued navy blue frog stuff is definitely my favorite!
Well,
Happy Weekend y'all!

Tis the season to.... BEE!
For as long as I can remember,
I would start making my Christmas list
at just about the same time
Santa Claus
appeared on the television at the end of
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Until this year....
I can safely say, I have more important things to do!
(gasp!)
No, but seriously-
I used to do some pretty extravagant research
I used to do some pretty extravagant research
on fabulous & luxurious items
that I felt would be appropriate gifts for me.
(I may or may not have been one to
dog-ear pages of the
Tiffany & Co. catalog &
strategically place it in locations where
"someone" would be sure to notice it.)
This Christmas is most definitley going
to be different but the best yet because
we will be celebrating
Mr. Baby's 1st!
I think it's safe to say that theres going to be nothing
sparkly & no fine Italian leather prdoucts wrapped
under the tree for me.
Know what?
That's just fine with me!
That's just fine with me!
I just can't wait to see how Mr Baby
reacts to all of the excitement.
(pretty sure that the wrapping paper
will actually be the biggest hit but we'll see...)
All of that said,
Here are some of the things I've seen
this holiday season that I think are pretty swell.
(I wouldn't mind receiving any of them.)
(I wouldn't mind receiving any of them.)
in pattern: Elvis Paisley
Wouldn't this be oh-so-cute with a monogram sticker or decal
Vineyard Vines
Knot Charm BraceletHandpicked
I wouldn't turn my nose up these days at a
Target shopping spree either.
(That place is seriously the devil.)
Happy shopping &
stay warm!

Bzzzzz!! Hey, remember me!?
Did you think I had thrown in the towel?
Cashed in my chips? Run away to join the circus?
Noooope...
(Can’t say that the circus idea
didn’t sound miiiighty tempting though)
I didn't give up.
Can't do it.
I DO
however,
need to make the time to blog.
I mean- I think about it all the time,
Of course it’s usually while I’m doing
20 other things at once
but nonetheless I think about it.
Apparently people enjoy reading my blog which
definitely makes me very happy.
definitely makes me very happy.
When I started it, I had nothing else to do, at all.
(bed rest- remember?)
Now, with Mister Baby growing like crazy
&
new work opportunites
that have presented themselves,
I am busier than... well...
a bee!!
Therefore,
my New Year’s resolution
(or one of them)
will be:
"to blog more often!"
That said-
Here’s what’s you’ve been missing:
Halloween...
6 month birthday...
The start of Santa season....
The final bath in the Tummy Tub :*(
& TEEETH!!!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Mister Baby is:
sitting up, eating all sorts of yummy solid foods &
has graduated from his infant carseat!
He's gnawing on everything he can get
his slimy, yet oh-so-adorable, little hands on
&
as soon as we (I) can figure it out,
the crib mattress needs to be lowered.
I've spied him reaching over the side on the video monitor
for what, I am not sure but
Tthe other day, I walked in to find him
sound asleep & a lonely pacifier sitting
on the edge of the crib rail...
(fine motor skills?- "check!" ha)
He has started to "talk" to Hairy Winston
in a special voice that is
very hilarious!
I would describe it as:
part bark, part growl
while, at the same time
making the cutest baby scowl face.
He only ever uses this voice to the dog.
If I can get a video, I will most definitley
share with you!
Ok so that's what's new in our zoo lately.
Tomorrow I shall discuss Holiday gifts.
Until then.....
Bee good!
