A room for the Prince...

Now that Baby's room is finished, does that mean we should be really ready for his arrival? (yipes!)

After an excruciatingly long wait for the crib
and changing table which were both ordered on
December 23rd but didn't arrive until the 2nd week in April,
we finally have a nursery!

This blue and grey jungle fit for our Prince was finally completed this afternoon
with the very careful application of the
elephant (& name) on the wall.
(I am sure DR was SO RELIEVED that I was there to help/instruct.. haha)

The elephant footstool is one piece that I am
particularly proud of.
After many failed attempts to order from another company,
Melissa & Doug had this bad boy all along!
(Not sure if you can tell but the ceiling is painted blue too.)
I made the large memo board between the windows.
It's made from the same fabric to match the
bumper and crib skirt.

The Gorilla in the corner was mine as a child
as were the Steiff bears and tiger on the book case.

Now I guess I sit and wait, twiddling my thumbs
just a little longer until mister baby arrives.
(tick tock tick tock tick tock)

Perhaps i'll put on my new Miss Trish sandals and waddle a lap or two around the bed!

Bee Good!

  3. The nursery is amazing! I love every aspect of it (whenever I get married and make pony kids I'll have to ask you for some decorating advice)!

I might have to buy the elephant foot stool for my boyfriend - as a good Republican he collects all things elephant!
