A collar poppin' good time!

Hey there!
Well I initially stopped in for some leisurely blog reading
BUT
was then inspired to write a post of my own.

My wardrobe revolves around one very solid, good ol' stand-by,  article of clothing.
I have dozens of this same item in every color & brand imaginable.
What is this item, you ask?
It's the
 POLO SHIRT

I wear them year round
no matter what part of the country I am in or what the weather is like.
They can be dressed up (to a certain extent) or dressed down
& they look phenomenal with pearls.

All of this polo talk made me think of
chapter 4 of The Official Preppy Handbook
"Dressing The Part,"
in which the fundamental principles of the preppy wardrobe are outlined.
(please locate your plaid copy of the "bible" & refresh your memory.)
Anywhooo....
I am extremely excited that my polos from several years ago
(AKA: shirts from waaay before mister baby)
have been dusted off and are back in rotation.
What a fabulous feeling!

There's a Lacoste giveaway that might "pique" your interest.
(ha, polo shirt humor- get it pique/pique?.... ehh ok i'll stop)
Cool Gal over at "It's The World I Know" is giving away:
a Lacoste polo, Havaianas flip flops & Malin+Goetz lip balm.

Bee good!

  1. Hey mommy dearest! Hope you all are doing well. We're doing okay- today was a great day, slept well, ate well, happy boy. Yesterday, WHOLE different ball game. Do you find this to be the case as well? Are you guys on any kind of a schedule? Have you tried anything? Are you using any of the "methods" that are out there (ie- Happiest baby, Ferber, BabyWise, etc)?

Anyway, I also ADORE the polo. Love my Lilly's, RL's and the one I posted on today, Salmon Cove.

    Have a great week!!

  2. I live in polos even though I'm still in college. I think Lillys are my favorite! Hope you're enjoying all your time with Mr. Baby!

  3. You are in the shirts you wore before baby? What?!! I'm so jealous. My twins were born in January, and I'm still trying to get there. However, my current wardrobe (save for 3 Lilly dresses that fit) revolves around the polo also. So versatile, comes in so many colors, and is totally washable - a must when you have a baby (or babies). You can't go wrong!

  4. Love polos too! Unfortunately, some of them were shrunken to child-size polos when the hubs did some of the laundry after W was born. Needless to say, he does NOT do the laundry anymore, no matter how helpful he was trying to be after the baby. I think there were about five good polos in one load that were ruined. Boo.

  5. Thank you for posting about my giveaway on your blog. Good luck!

I noticed you just had your first baby - congratulations! It's such a special time! What a doll! I, too, have a son and have enjoyed watching him grow-up. So full of energy, curious, and lovable. :) Boys are awesome!

Your blog is adorable. I'm happy to be your newest follower! :)

    Have a great day.

  6. I LOVE your posts! So cute! I love my polos too! They are great b/c when you succumb to buying yet another one you can at least rationalize your purchase with knowing it'll never go out of style.

  7. Girl, LC was just saying something about this the other day. He peeped in my closet since the doors were open, and he was aghast at the sheer fact that I have more polos than he does. Ha!
