Who says you have to be at
Congressional Country Club
to be with golfs greatest this weekend?!
In honor of the 111th US Open Championship,
I dedicate this post to my favorite golfer
(favorite next to cutie current golf
phenom Rory McIlroy course..)
Arnold Palmer
Why? you ask, is he my favorite golfer?
Because if it weren't for Arnie, one of the most
refreshingly delish beverages wouldn't have a name.
I am no stranger to an Arnold Palmer
(beverage not person)
in fact, it's my favorite & I rarely
leave the house without one for the road.
If you're not familiar, please let me educate you
Wikipedia states:
An Arnold Palmer or Arnie Palmer is a drink
consisting of half iced tea (either sweetened or unsweetened)
and half lemonade. It is named for golfing legend Arnold Palmer
and is said to be his favorite beverage.
Although the beverage was created at the Cherry Creek
Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado,
it is particularly popular in northern West Virginia, Central Ohio
and western Pennsylvania, as well as the South,
but is known throughout the United States.
I just recently came across this amazingly
fabulous version of Arnies fave bev!!
Sweet Tea & Pink Lemonade
This version is MUCH tastier than the
"Half & Half Lite"
that I am used to finding at
my local purveyor of cold, refreshing beverages.
SO...
now that you know how I happen to be
now that you know how I happen to be
spending the day with golfs greatest-
Let;s raise our Tervis to ol' Arnie himself
FORE...... oops!
I mean...
CHEERS!!
Bee good!
xox

I do love an Arnold Palmer, and Rory is my main man (golf-wise anyway) too!
